My extensive body of journalism has appeared in all the London broadsheet newspapers and some tabloids, also in a wide variety of magazines, ranging from Plays & Players, Screen Education, Sight & Sound and The Times Educational Supplement to Time Out, Woman’s Realm, Marxism Today and Gay News. 

On-line, I have contributed to Off-Guardian, The Word, Cold Type and London Progressive Journal. I have also done stints at section-editing, commissioning, subbing and proofing and I am the editor of SIdelights, the newsletter of the Society of Indexers. My particular subjects have been theatre, cinema, broadcasting and politics, but I have often ranged much wider.
